I see "Shelter From the Storm" is a 22 minute episode.I know some might think this is awful, but I think it'd be interesting for the series to have a school shooting episode-similar to the vein of "April 9th",only more serious.Perhaps it could even be aired at Primetime with a program following immediately after on how parents should help their kids understand such an event?

Yeah, a school shooting-episode would be bold, interesting, and relevant. Except I don't think they'd show it at Lakewood. It'd probably be a jr. high or high school nearby.

Well, the execution wouldn't work as well if it didn't take place at Lakewood...I mean, would the kids really care unless it happened at their school?

That's true. I guess I'm just not expecting WGBH to have it happen directly at the kids' elementary school. For sensitivity reasons, that is. Like how the episode April 9 was a response/homage to 9/11, but it centered around a fire at the school instead of a tall building collapse.

That's true...but that's why it'd be aired at Primetime. If someone was to get hurt, have it be someone from other grades,or maybe their old teacher...

Yes, primetime always works for a special, sensitive episode like this.

Right. Most little kids probably would already in bed,so they wouldn't be affected, and then that leaves the 9-12 crowd.

I guess I should probably change the title to "Confirmed Season 18 Titles"

I am especially intrigued by "Shelter from the Storm". A tornado situation seems likely to me, given the title. The residents of Elwood City could all hear a tornado warning and have to get to safety. The Crosswire mansion could get destroyed. Of course, it's not just the storm itself, it's also the rebuilding and life afterwards that could make this a two-parter. Muffy could learn that possessions aren't everything in life. Seems as though this type of disaster isn't common among kiddie shows, but Arthur is known for going above and beyond commonalities.

If I'm not mistaken, PBS will air the next season of Downton Abbey in January. Perhaps this is when the next round of episodes will debut, beginning with "Fountain Abbey"?

"Whip. Mix. Blend." Interesting title on this one. I'd personally like to see Arthur, Buster and Muffy go to the cooking class with Francois Puffeau again. This would be the episode to do that, but I'm not betting on it.

I'm curious as to why the episodes will not be shown in chronological order. Also wondering which episode will feature Lydia, as advertised/promised.

That sounds like an excellent premise for Shelter from the Storm.  And Lydia...I'd nearly forgotten that she'll be returning this season.  Despite her being in the "disability of the week" club, I rather like her personality and design.  I wonder if it'll focus strictly on her friendship with Brain, or expand more exclusively on her character.  It'd be sort of nice to see the regulars take a little break and give most of the spotlight to one of the more popular one-hit wonders.

On that note, I'd give what little is left of my soul to see Cousin Mo in her own signature episode...

Ever since Hurricane Sandy (which hit Boston), I've been waiting for them to do an episode on a similar topic. "Shelter from the Storm" looks to be it.

Ditto, all the episodes sound awesome! (Okay, well, to be honest I'm not really feeling the plot of "The Friend Who Wasn't There" - but other than that, AWESOME.)

I'm especially loving the summary of "Shelter From The Storm." Shout out to PrettyCoolStairs for calling Muffy's plot in this. Also, dealing with anxiety? Reuniting loved ones? I feel like this episode in particular is gonna rocket this show back up to its A-game.

Wow! Now I'm really excited for "Shelter from the Storm"! Also of note, this will be the second known hurricane to hit the Elwood City area. Buster says in "Arthur's Family Vacation" that a hurricane hit Camp Meadowcroak.

I'm excited for the whole season really. "Two Minutes" sounds pretty good. Something I never thought about before: which Tibble was first. Interesting plot concept.

Also feeling good about "The Case of the Girl with the Long Face". Glad to see the writers haven't forgotten about Buster's detective work. "Arthur Accused" from Season 1 is still one of my favorites.

Nice to see the return of Wonder World in "D.W. & Bud's Higher Purpose". According to the wiki, the last time this amusement park was referenced was in Season 3.

Who wants to bet that "Shelter From The Storm" will finally be the episode where we see Bud without his hat?  Laughing
